What's in my School Bag for Sixth Form?

So it's the beginning of the summer holidays, it maybe a bit early for some to be thinking about starting Sixth Form, but I remember this time last year I was already preparing my bag because I was so excited. So I've decided to post my 2014 what's in my bag for Sixth Form early!

In this photo is what I would normally carry around with me on the average school day, a quick list would be: Laptop, Pencil Case, Notebook, Textbooks, iPad, iPhone, Headphones, Diary, Make Up Bag, Personal Reading book, Umbrella, Water Bottle.

I use my iPad to do the bulk of my schoolwork this is probably the most vital item that I take with me to school, I'm planning on making another post on how I use my iPad with my schoolwork so if you're interested keep an eye out for that.

Although I do use my iPad for most of my schoolwork I do also use a notebook, I think that it helps to prepare you more for exams to do some written work as well. I would recommend buying a notebook with 4 intersections so that you only need to take one notebook to school. I would also suggest buying a 90 gsm notebook, although they are slightly more expensive the paper is better quality and pens won't bleed through the paper (this is just personal preference though any notebook is fine)

I use two pencil cases, one has coloured pens and highlighters whereas the other has what I would use in a normal maths lesson. I would suggest buying a see through pencil case at the beginning of the year because then you don't need a new one when exam season comes along. Also the clear pencil cases are very cheap from places like tesco or coop.

It is absolutely vital that you have a diary for Sixth Form! This diary is from WH Smiths and cost £9.99 and is pretty good for Sixth Form. For the next school year I'm planning on buying a student diary because they seem more suited to my needs especially since I will be studying at two schools!

I don't take my laptop into school every day I tend to take it in on days where I have a lot of frees I'm sure you can figure out how a laptop would be helpful at school!

I take maths and further maths so naturally a calculator is absolutely necessary. If you are taking Maths (and Further Maths) definitely buy this calculator it's the casio fx-991ES plus it's much better suited for a level maths than the Casio fx-83GT (this is what most people own after GCSE). The 991ES can be bought on Amazon for about £15.

iPhone and headphones, for bus journeys with loud children. I could not get through a single school day without my phone and my headphones!

Living in England an umbrella can be vital! And hydration while at school is very important.

I normally take some basic make up with me, some hand cream and some deodorant spray with me. I often accidentally rub my eye makeup off or become self conscious as to whether of not I smell so it's always useful to carry these items around.

And finally I think it's important to read whether you study English or not so I will often carry a book with me that I'll read during my free periods or over lunch.

Some other items which I haven't mentioned are a purse, sunglasses (for those rare sunny days) and a hairbrush/hair ties.
